Metric Weld Nut Fasteners

Weld nut designs are based on size, shape, thickness, and configuration. These industrial fasteners are welded onto another metal piece and can bridge gaps or seams. A weld nut is able to be used in restricted or limited space areas.

Weld nuts are made into many configurations including: Choosing the correct weld nuts to complete your application depends on various factors including:
  • Application type
  • Parent material
  • Weld nut material
  • Type of welding
  • Base design

Weld nuts from JHP Fasteners are available in many configurations including round, slab, and tab base weld nuts. The hex weld nut design is ideal for heavy duty applications whereas a tab nut is typically used for lighter jobs. A right angle weld nut attaches to the parent material and creates a threaded hole vertical to base material. Weld nuts have a critical design in that accurate pressure and current must be used during the welding process in order to secure optimal performance in after market use.

Typical weld nuts are manufactured in a low carbon steel with a plain finish. However, other materials, such as stainless, are available depending on the parent material in the application. Weld nuts are available with either inch or metric threads. JHP Fasteners distributes American, European, and American metric fasteners.

Your specific application will dictate the fastener material, size, and design. For more information on weld nuts and the various types provided by JHP Fasteners, contact us. We’ll help you select the industrial fasteners you need to complete your applications.
