This Tab Projection Weld Nut features a pair of equally dimensioned rib projections located on both sides of the threaded hole. This feature ensures equally distributed strength across the entire surface of the weld. This weld nut is ideally suited for use within automated assembly processes due to the tight tolerances of its self-locating pilot. These industrial fasteners are available from JHP Fasteners in a wide variety of materials and thread sizes (inch and metric).

Application notes:
This Tab Projection Weld Nut is equipped with a self-locating pilot to assist with initial thread engagement. The pilot also prevents shunting of the projections onto the threads, thereby eliminating the necessity for any post-weld thread re-tapping. The tight tolerances of the pilot facilitates rapid feeding of the weld nut into its designated hole location. The nut has sufficient thread depth to ensure a strong thread engagement.
