Blind rivets are an extremely valuable cylindrical nail-like fastener, that also features a mandrel. They allow objects to be fastened together when access is only possible from one side. This provides any effortless way to connect two objects when one side is impossible to reach. A Blind rivet is installed by passing it through the material via a tight hole. A riveter then pulls the mandrel back, deforming the rivet until the mandrel snaps, which allows the rivet to hold the material pieces in place
Blind Rivet Options
Blind rivets come in many different forms depending on your specific application needs. We stock the following types.
Standard Open-End Rivet
Standard Open End Blind Rivets are assemblies constructed from two pieces: a shell (rivet), and a mandrel (stem) which is used to draw the shell into the fastening position.
Closed-end rivets are mainly used when access to the base material is available from only one side.
Multi-grip blind rivets provide a wider grip range than traditional blind rivets.
Structural rivets feature an inter-locking function. They are typically used in the manufacturing or repair of truck bodies.
