CD Collar Stud

A capacitor discharge (CD) Collar Stud is an extremely versatile device that can be used in a wide range of industrial applications. They can be effectively welded to flat surfaces as well as to the interior or exterior surfaces of an angle. The threaded extension allows for quick mating with a tapped stud. These industrial fasteners are available from JHP Fasteners in a variety of materials, dimensions, and thread sizes (inch and metric).

Application notes:
When properly welded, using the capacitance discharge method, there will be no reverse side marking. This is due to the minimal thermal impact on the material during the welding process. To achieve maximum weld performance the welding surface must be clean (no paint or coatings) and flat. Only 110v power is required for the welding process and these weld studs can be attached using standard CD welding equipment. This collar stud is well suited for welding onto flat surfaces located on the interior or exterior of an angle.
