Floating Rivet Nuts – Large Flange, Inch and Metric

The Floating Rivet Nut is the next generation of industrial fasteners. These rivet nuts have unique internally floating threads that allow for attachment of components in off-center applications. They can also accommodate tolerance stack-up that may occur in the manufacturing process. The floating rivet nuts are offered by JHP Fasteners in a variety of thread sizes (inch and metric).

Application notes:

The large flange floating rivet nut is inserted via a hydro-pneumatic tool equipped with a floating rivet nut nose piece. No other special equipment is required.
The floating rivet nut aligns to drive the angle of the screw, thereby eliminating cross-threading and spin-out. When properly inserted, these rivet nuts provide excellent strength and durability.

The large flange floating rivet nut is specifically designed for post installation in applications that typically use clinch nuts, cage nuts, floating nut plates, or weld nuts. They are an ideal choice in those cases where the manufacturing process creates tolerance stack-up and off-center alignments.
